I had the opportunity to participate in the SCIENCE FILM SPRINT at World Congress of Science and Factual Producers ’18 (November 27 – 30, 2018), in partnership with LiveLab at the Griffith Film School, where I was one of five factual filmmakers that were paired with five leading scientists to produce a creative short science film over 72 hours!
The completed films screened on the final day of Congress in front of a public audience and esteemed judges, Shaminder Nahal from Channel 4, Takahiro Hamano from NHK and the new WCSFP conference director Paul Lewis, who determined the winner following the screening.
My film, Flies Dream? was the winning film selected by the jury, and I will be joining the WCSFP in Tokyo for Congress 2019!
Thanks so much mah crew, your creativity and collaboration really helped put this film together and thank you to Bruno for trusting me in trying to accurately depict the nature of your work and try and relate it to what it means for us all.
There are obviously like alot of changes I’d like to make, but there’s something wholesome about completing a film in a restrictive time frame.
